"I gather, collate, re-use, layer, peel, burn, reveal, locate,
question, duplicate, play and photograph "

Kate MccGwire's practice probes the inherent beauty in daulity, making us re-align our thoughts about objects. The feather that occupy her structures decieve us, they at once make us think of something fragile and wispy, but the amount and strength of the overall do much to shake this thought. All whilst adding large amounts of motion and a hint of the obscene.
She has a show entitled HOST in London at PERTWEE AND ANDERSONGOLD until the 24th, don't miss it.

Get intrigued, KATE MCCQWIRE
