Nocturnal is one of the best albums i've ever heard. Better than anything they've ever done.
The muscianship is second-to-none and it has such a creepy atmosphere about it which just raises it above any other melodic-death metal anywhere, ever.
Yes I do know who at the gates are, but if they had to have a contemporary who could safely take their crown it would be The Black Dahlia Murder.
